Hikari paint allows the decoration and customization of leathers.
These liquid and richly pigmented paints allow a direct and durable adhesion especially to leathers. both natural and synthetic leathers.

This durability is also made possible by the exceptional suppleness and flexibility of this paint: even after several months and years, the paint remains flexible without becoming brittle or cracking.

Leather colours and leather varnishes
The colours are obtained from UV-resistant micro-pigments. These are not dyes, but paints. All colours are miscible with each other.

In addition to the rich and varied range of colours for customising leather (shoes, jackets, leather goods, bags, equipment, etc.), there are 2 acrylic varnishes for leather in matt and glossy versions.

Formulation
Hikari® leather colours benefit from an innovative, solvent-free, odourless acrylic formulation for great ease of use, with no drop in performance compared to solvent-based formulations.

Ready-to-use paint. Polymerizable with 2% of hydro hardener H6*
Dilution possible with 5 or 10% of water

Industrial use
These acrylic paints are of professional quality, and can be supplied in bulk packaging for professionals and industrialists (Spray application)

We also offer high-gloss, high-resistance leather paints and varnishes in two-component polyurethane solvent-based formulas.

How to use airbrush paints for leather
the leather must first be cleaned, with dusting, degreasing with alcohol, and drying.

Shake paint bottles well before use. Operating temperature (15-25°C).
With an airbrush or spray gun, start with one or two very thin coats of primer to promote adhesion.
Then apply 1 or 2 finishing coats.

It is possible to use the colors with a brush or paintbrush.
It is possible to dilute the colors with water, without exceeding 5 or 10%.

Recommended thickness
Attention! To ensure good flexibility and optimum durability, it is not recommended to apply a large number of layers and to increase the thickness. The thicker the dry layer, the greater the risk of cracking or splitting

It is possible to improve drying and adhesion by doing a "forced drying" with a hot air source (hair dryer)

The paints are dry to the touch in 30 minutes, and dry to the core in several hours. Adhesion to the leather will increase over the hours and days.

Resistance and maintenance
The colors are resistant to washing. It is possible to use any type of detergent or cleaning products to cook them in order to clean them. They are perfectly waterproof. They are not sensitive to UV rays.

Leather paints and leather decoration techniques
We offer a product called liquid mask, which can be sprayed with an airbrush or gun, in order to create a peelable protective layer, which can be cut with a scalpel in order to create stencils, and to create successive flat areas of color
