Applications:

Cristal epoxy resin can be used for different projects:

  • Molding of decorative objects
  • Tray bottoms
  • Creation of jewelry
  • Inclusion resin (max 2cm thick for a small volume)

Applied in a thin layer, the Crystal Resin can be used as a glossy varnish on your creations.

Kit Contents:

- 100ml of Resin A + 50ml of Hardener B

- 2 mixing spatulas

- 2 pod spoons

- 1 pair of gloves

- 1 instruction manual

Use

  1. In a clean, dry container, first pour 1 part of hardener B + 2 parts of Cristal Resin A.
  2. Mix components A and B paying particular attention to the corners of the container.

(an incomplete mixture will not guarantee the hardening and a too virulent mixture will see the appearance of bubbles).

Transfer the mixture to a second container and mix again to ensure the homogeneity of the resin and optimal hardening.

  3. Pour the mixture into the support of your choice.
  4. Leave to dry for 24 hours away from impurities and dust.

Setting remains gradual and depends on humidity and ambient temperature.

This Crystal Gédéo proxy resin mini-kit is the first format in small packaging, which allows all individuals to carry out their tests or their creative projects on small surfaces.

Before ordering, take care to calculate the real needs, by carrying out this simple calculation!

Multiply Width x Length x Thickness = to get volume

Here is an example :

if we cast a surface of 1 mm on a surface of 1 m²

100 cm x 100cm x 0.1 cm = 1000 ml or One liter

Gédéo epoxy resin shows superb properties with total transparency comparable to that of crystal.

In addition, whatever the size and thickness (within a limit of 10cm casting thickness) there is no shrinkage during drying

On the other hand, the resin is odorless and does not contain any evaporable ingredients or solvents, i.e. the epoxy resin comprises 100% dry matter:

When you pour a liter of resin, you get a liter of resin after hardening

Gedeo tips:

  • To know the quantity of each component and not waste the product, fill the mold to be used with water and pour into a measuring container: one third of the volume for the hardener and two thirds for the resin. Thoroughly dry the mold and the measuring container before pouring the Crystal Resin.
  • Epoxy resins retain the appearance of the support in which they are used. Matte mold = matte finish, Glossy mold = glossy finish.
  • Surfaces should be sanded before re-application over cured resin.
  • The complete hardening occurs after 24 hours, we recommend unmolding after 12 hours of drying and placing your molding around a bottle for example to give it a curved shape. This allows you to shape your achievements.
  • We advise you to protect your creations with the application of a coat of shiny Bindex 24 hours before pouring the Crystal Resin

Precautions:

  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear the gloves included in the kit.
  • Only objects cast in metal molds provided for this purpose can be used as jewelry.
  • To limit any risk of overheating, do not exceed 150ml of Cristal Resin preparation per mixture.
  • Cristal resins are not intended for food contact.
  • Even dry, creations made with Cristal resin do not support contact with water.
  • Do not exceed 2 cm in casting thickness.
