Photoluminescent label for wines and champagnes

We offer luminous adhesive film to produce photoluminescent labels, applicable to wine, spirits or champagne bottles but of course also to all types of objects.

How does a phosphorescent label work?
Phosphorescence is a phenomenon classified as photoluminescence, which is characterized by the emission of light (luminance) in reaction to a light “excitation” (white, natural or UV light), and whose manifestation (afterglow) persists well. after the excitement has ceased.

Phosphorescence therefore needs two things to be effective:

sufficient darkness

a source of illumination to be activated: it is estimated at only 15 minutes with low lighting of 25 lux for maximum charging.

Appearance of phosphorescent labeling

For green phosphorescence labels, the daytime appearance is a slightly greenish white color.
The more efficient the label, the more it will have a pronounced greenish appearance.

For turquoise or blue phosphorescence labels, the daytime appearance is closer to white, however the luminance intensity and afterglow are lower than for the green color.

The adhesive films are available in glossy (60°) and matt satin* (10-15°)

* for the matte finish a minimum order of 300m² is necessary

Label thicknesses

Thickness is an important parameter and when it is too great, it can become unaesthetic. However, the greater the thickness, the better the phosphorescent intensity level.

Difference between phosphorescent and fluorescent labels:

the phosphorescent labels glow in the dark, after stopping exposure to a charge of light energy, without energy input. Their phosphorescence decreases slowly and can last for several hours.

Fluorescent labels glow brightly in dim light or darkness when exposed to a violet or ultra violet light source. Their effect turns off immediately when the excitation light is turned off

Phosphorescent Labels allow phosphorescence with an almost unlimited lifespan and without any decrease in performance.

Storage: the labels are resistant to light, liquids, alcohol and detergents but also, they resist abrasion relatively better than paper labels.
