Versions

Electroluminescent pigments are photoluminescent powders which appear colorless or white in their inactivated state. In their activated state, their appearance is bright and colorful.
We only offer the top quality grade allowing high level of luminance and longer service life.

Offers

4 electro-photoluminescent colors

the pigment is colorless* and we therefore speak of activated color
Turquoise PEL-T-EL502 (white/colorless appearance)
Blue PEL-B-EL447 (white/colorless appearance)
Green PEL-V-EL512 (white/colorless appearance)
White PEL-B-EL662 (*daytime light red appearance)
Packaging available in stock. It is possible to obtain offers for larger quantities by email.

Properties
The emission of light by the pigments requires excitation by an electric current. Electroluminescent pigments emit light when an electric current passes through them.

Implementation
The pigments can be used in various ways, and in particular, they can be implemented in a multilayer paint system whose main characteristic will be the electro-conductive properties and transparency (for the passage of light). The electroluminescent center layer will be "lit" by the electric current. Solvent-based formulations are preferred to allow a better thinness of the layer.
The binder allows the fixing and maintenance of the pigments. The conduction condition is an adequate concentration allowing sufficient promiscuity of the pigments which must touch each other, in the binder (dry and evaporated film). The type and thickness of the binder must be chosen precisely, to allow sufficient fineness and minimize the amount of pigment to be incorporated (from 15 to 40% by weight)
Please note: the electroluminescent paint system is patented in some countries.
We are unable to provide further information regarding application details and as a pigment supplier we do not guarantee that our pigments are suitable for any particular application. It is up to the user to carry out the necessary tests concerning its use.

EL pigment particle size : 5-20 microns
Main Composition : Zns (Zinc Sulfide)

Photoluminescence
The luminence (luminous intensity) is excellent and can reach 1 to 2 candelas: It is a function of both the color of the pigments, the thickness of the pigment layer, and the intensity of the electric current.
The electroluminescent pigment does not allow remanence: ie the luminance does not continue after the shutdown of the excitation source.

Sustainability
Pigment service life is 800-1000 hours

Security
Our electroluminescent pigments are classified as non-hazardous. Certificate of Analysis and MSDS available.

Storage
The pigment must be stored in its closed container, protected from humidity. Storage in plastic containers is recommended.
