In tunnels, in case of accident and/or fire, it is critical to provide information and guide people quickly towards the exits.

In case of complete electrical power failure, photoluminescent signage in tunnels is the only effective alternative to provide visual signals in the dark (emergency exits, access to emergency calls, fire extinguishers...)

Tunnels are environments: photoluminescent panels in tunnels should be adapted to ensure high robustness and greater luminance.

Panel installation:

The photoluminescent emergency exit signs for tunnels are attached to the walls.

Regulation specifies that photoluminescent exit panels should be installed at 25m intervals and placed at a height of 110 to 150cm.

The pictograms are large enough (100cm x 50cm) to be visible at 25m (rule of l = z0xh) and indicate the distances to the nearest two emergency exits in both left and right directions. The two signals may be arranged side by side, or on top of each other.
