The SOLAS XT1800 adhesive film for the MARINE INDUSTRY is normally intended for use for the marking of SOLAS lifesaving equipments (Life jackets, life buoys, survival boats and various lifesaving equipments).


Description:
The SOLAS tape has a grey appearance in daylight and returns a luminous white effect due to reflection.
Whether dry or wet, the product has a very high level of reflection, allowing light to enter through a wide angle.
The product complies with the European Directive on marine equipment 96/98/EC (MED) and with resolution A.658(16) Appendix 2 of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).


Application tip:
The surface on which the SOLAS tape will be glued must be cleaned with care; it must be free of dust and grease or from any contamination that could affect adhesion.
The newly lacquered and/or painted surfaces must be completely dry and removed of solvents (3 weeks). The compatibility with some paints and topcoats must be tested by the purchaser before applying the adhesive.
Do not forget to remove the protective film!

Resistance: The SOLAS XT1800 retroreflective tape has a high resistance to weather conditions (can last 100 hours in salt spray test, withstands temperatures ranging from -56 0C to +82 0C), solvents and corrosion (provided it has been properly applied).
Lifetime of the tape: 10 years (if it was not printed and if it has been properly applied).


Storage: 3 years in its original packaging and in normal conditions (20 0C and 50% humidity).
