Temperature-dependent thermochromic paint

These paints are special because of their unique and surprising properties which allow them to change of colour according to the temperature.
This instantaneous and reversible change goes from the coloured and covering state (towards the cold state) to the transparent state (towards the hot state).

Colour change according to the temperature:

This is achieved through the sensitivity of the paint to different temperature levels, and is triggered by the temperature change (on its surface or below) for:
- the substrate
- the air (e.g. sun’s heat, heat from a dryer, etc.)
- due to all external factors (water, touch, etc.)

The paint colour change is facilitated on thin materials and easy to heat.
It may occur more than 10,000 times.

Offers

3 colours available: Red, Black, Blue
Several temperature levels from 6 to 45 °C (the levels given are approximate "ranges" indicating the point of transition to the transparent state)
1 special colour: Multicoloured Pulsar (application on a black background - creates a colour change for the 3 colours Red, Green and Blue, between 29 and 40 °C)
Format: 60ml bottle

Appearance of the thermochromic paint

coloured appearance at cold temperature; tends to become progressively dark and opaque as the temperature drops.
On the contrary, the paint is transparent from and above the specified temperature level, revealing the background on which it has been applied.

Recommendations for use:
Fluid paint for use with a brush or airbrush/preferably spray gun with thinning to 5 - 20% water
Apply several passes (4 or 5 coats) on the raw and clean background, or over a light coloured paint.
Drying: 1h to the touch/Through drying 12h.

Paint characteristics:
Acrylic without solvent
Viscosity: 80sec NF4
Density: approximately 1.04
Adherence on all substrates (glass, metals, plastics, fabrics)
Good resistance to abrasion, water, washing
Avoid exposure to long periods of sunlight

Storage:
in the liquid state, the paint can be kept for 3 months in a cool dark place (refrigerator)
