Thinners, paint auxiliaries for airbrush + cleaner

In the practice of airbrushing, a number of auxiliary products are necessary for working.

Examples include certain types of thinners, which are used to thin acrylic paints, or cleaners to aid in airbrush cleaning.

Airbrush paint thinners :

Depending on the color and the pigments, the paint may be more or less viscous.

Not to mention the ambient temperature which influences the viscosity of liquids, there are also different sizes of nozzles, and it may therefore be necessary to thin the colors.

We remind you that the dilution of Stardust Pro WPU paints is not necessary, under normal conditions. On the other hand, as a general rule, it is advisable to dilute paints with water as little as possible. Dilution leads to an increase in drying time, and a decrease in adhesion.

The range of Stardust WPU airbrush paints includes a series of auxiliary thinners :

S4 cleaner for water-based paints

This cleaning thinner helps to soften dried paint residues in the airbrush ducts. It is effective with all water-based paints. It is not a rinsing or diluting product : it must not be mixed or in contact with paints when they are in a liquid state.

S5 thinner for water-based airbrush paints

It is an effective thinner for all airbrush paints, especially to accelerate their drying or evaporation. This thinner is recommended for work in too cold an environment (<15°C)

Super Thinner S6 for acrylic-polyurethane water-based paints

This thinner not only increases the fluidity of the paints, but it improves the wetting of the surface, it increases the grip, and it reinforces the hardening of the paint during drying and evaporation.

This S6 thinner is compatible with all brands of airbrush paints

S7 degreaser for airbrushing

Odorless product with a water-based formula, allowing to prepare and clean surfaces without danger, by eliminating contaminants, greases, grime, before the application of paints.

S8 Retarding Thinner

In hot temperatures, as is often the case in summer, with temperatures above 25°C, water-based airbrush paints tend to dry too quickly, especially when spraying them, and their journey between the nozzle and the surface. This results in a “powdering” phenomenon.

Similarly, an accumulation of dried paint is often observed on the tip of the nozzle : this is a classic phenomenon with water-based paints, which can be reduced with the addition of retardant thinner.

The S9 flow enhancer for airbrush paints

This special thinner is specially designed for painters doing details and freehand drawings, with very small nozzles, and spraying small amounts of paint. It is a thinner that allows an ultra fine and improved use of paints. This product reduces the formation of grains or dried paint on the nozzle.
